About the Wild Wood Project

We are a small village of people who are passionate about the environment and who want to preserve and enhance the landscape for future generations. We want to provide a special place for everyone to come and enjoy, where they can enjoy and explore the surroundings, learn about the natural world and be involved in creating new habitats for wildlife.

The site, where we hope to create the Foolow Wildwood project, is located just outside the village of Foolow, in the Peak District National Park. With the 11 acre site, we are proposing to dedicate 5 acres to woodland and 6 acres to a wildflower and hay meadow with volunteers all set to maintain and support the land. We are lucky to have the support of the Woodland Trust.

The main and most urgent thing you need to know is that we have until November to raise £300,000 to purchase the land from the Peak District National Park and we need your help to make it happen!
